about me

I am a wife, mother and lifelong Angeleno. I earned my Master’s degree from California State University, Northridge (CSUN), where I was trained to work with Southern California’s incredibly diverse communities. I completed my clinical hours over five years at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) where I specialized in PTSD, sexual trauma and the unique needs of military families. I am a licensed clinical social worker in private practice.

I am a Christian and I welcome clients who want to include spirituality in therapy however there’s never an expectation to do so. Whether you’re deeply rooted in your faith, exploring it, or not religious at all, our work will always center on what matters most to you.

I am passionate about social justice, equity and community. These values guide my work with individuals, couples and families. I think a lot about how the systems around us impact our mental health and invite clients to do the same.

My style is highly collaborative, direct and informal. I believe healing happens through the combination of evidence-based treatment and genuine human connection. My practice is culturally responsive, spiritually sensitive and trauma-informed.

I tend to draw from the following therapeutic frameworks depending on the clients situation and therapeutic timeframe needs:

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

an active engagement approach that can help you develop psychological flexibility and build a life guided by your values rather than fear.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

helps clients identify and change unhelpful thinking patterns that contribute to anxiety, depression, and chronic stress.

Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)

a short-term , goal-oriented approach that seeks solutions over problem analysis by identifying existing strengths and past successes to achieve rapid, positive change in a specific area

Additional training and certification:

Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI®)

Prepare-Enrich Couples Counseling

Trauma Resiliency Model (TRM)

I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers

services

Individual counseling

I work with motivated adults 18+ who want to begin living with greater peace, confidence, and integrity. Together, we'll identify the patterns keeping you stuck, process difficult experiences, and build practical strategies for healing and resilience.

Areas of focus include:

  • Attachment issues

  • PTSD

  • Racial trauma

  • Life transitions

  • Identity and cultural concerns

  • Recovery from high demand/high control environments

  • Spiritual integration and values-based living

50 min - individual counseling sessions - $175

Decision focused couples Counseling

Decision focused couples counseling (also known as Discernment counseling) is designed for couples where one or both partners are uncertain about whether to continue the relationship or move toward separation or divorce. Rather than focusing immediately on repairing the relationship, this short-term process helps both partners gain greater clarity and confidence about their next steps.

During our work together, we'll explore:

  • What has happened in the relationship

  • Each partner's perspective and concerns

  • Individual contributions to current patterns

  • Whether reconciliation is possible

  • What a thoughtful path forward might look like

The goal is not to persuade either partner to stay or leave, but to help you make a decision with greater understanding, intention, and respect for yourselves and each other.

$220 per 50 min hour - Full pre-assessment included. Offered as a short term intensive treatment between 2 and 5 sessions.

Premarital Counseling

A healthy marriage begins long before the wedding day. Premarital counseling provides an opportunity to build a strong foundation by exploring the conversations that matter most before lifelong commitments are made.

Together, we'll address topics such as:

  • Communication and conflict resolution

  • Trust and emotional intimacy

  • Family dynamics and cultural expectations

  • Finances and shared goals

  • Roles, values, and long-term vision

  • Spiritual beliefs and future expectations

I have special interest in supporting multi-ethnic and multicultural couples by helping partners navigate differences in culture and identity with curiosity, respect, and mutual understanding.

$1,500 - Full pre-assessment, course and materials. Sessions are offered over 6 weeks virtually or as 2 separate, 3 hour intensive in-person sessions.

COUPLES Counseling

Couples counseling offers a dedicated space to strengthen your relationship, deepen emotional intimacy, and navigate challenges with greater clarity, understanding, and respect. Whether you are seeking marriage therapy to improve communication, rebuild trust after betrayal, navigate major life transitions, or reconnect after years of growing apart, our work together will be collaborative, thoughtful, and grounded in evidence-based care.

You will gain practical tools for healthier communication, deeper emotional connection, and more effective conflict resolution while cultivating a relationship that reflects your shared vision and values. My goal is to provide a warm, discreet, and highly personalized therapeutic experience that supports not only healing but the creation of a stronger, more fulfilling partnership.

Please note: I do not work with couples where there is current/ongoing physical or sexual violence occurring in the household. Additionally, I maintain a strict “no secrets” policy regarding current/ongoing infidelity, gambling, drug or alcohol addiction. If you are currently in an extra-marital relationship or struggling with secret addiction without your partner's knowledge this will need to be disclosed within our first two sessions. If you are unwilling to have this conversation with your partner I’m not the right couples therapist for you.

Hopefully yes! I love couples work and have worked with some very unique situations. I have particular interest in the following niche areas:

  • Therapy for couples seeking healing after leaving high control/ high demand religious environments.

  • Therapy for High profile couples navigating the pressures of public and private life.

  • Therapy for couples creating new norms after major transitions or cultural changes such the transition from military to civilian life.

  • Therapy for couples interested in “closing” a previously open/polyamorous relationship.

  • Therapy for couples in which one or both partners were adopted/involved in the foster care system.

  • Intensive “family meetings” for adult siblings wanting to support one another as they navigate difficulties and responsibilities with aging parents.

After reading this if you’re still unsure, let’s talk! If I am not a great fit I can probably refer you to someone amazing.

Will you testify on my behalf in court?

I will not appear in court for any reason. I am happy to provide a treatment summary to individuals and families with written consent from all parties.

Will you write me a letter for my service animal, school accommodations etc.?

Yes, I can accommodate established clients and help with these types of administrative tasks. I charge $50 per form.
